Biography

Professor Saidur Rahman is currently working as a Distinguished Research Professor and Head of the Research Centre for Nano-Materials and Energy Technology (RCNMET) at Sunway University. He is also working with Lancaster University as a full Professor. Previously, he worked as a Chair Professor at the Center of Research Excellence in Renewable Energy at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. Prior to joining KFUPM, Prof. Saidur worked 18 years in University of Malaya, a premier University in Malaysia. He is ranked 1 in Malaysia according to top 2% Scientist by Stanford/Elsevier Analysis. He is also number 1 Scientist in Malaysia according to AD scientific, research.com and GPS scholar. Clarivate Analytics/Thomson Reuters awarded him highly cited researcher for being among the top 1% researchers for most cited documents in his research field for the eight consecutive years (2014-2021). In 2019 and 2024, Prof. Saidur won Vice Chancellor’s award for achievement in Research, Sunway University. Prof. Saidur published more than 900 journal and conference papers. Majority of them are in top ranking high impact journals. His publications are cited more than 90,000 times with an h-index of 150 according to Google Scholar citation. He has supervised more than 80 postgraduate students so far and has secured and managed more than 25 million ringgit research grants as a PI and member. Prof. Saidur is working in the area of emerging nano-materials and their applications in energy storage, heat transfer, solar energy harvesting and environmental remediation.

Prof. Md. Mamun Habib, Ph.D. Professor and Head, Dept. of Management, School of Business & Entrepreneurship, Independent University, Bangladesh Visiting Scientist, University of Texas - Arlington (UTA), USA Visiting Professor, Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (Unirazak), Malaysia Prof. Dr. Md. Mamun Habib is a Professor & Head of the Management Department at the School of Business & Entrepreneurship (SBE), Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). He is a Visiting Scientist at the Dept. of Industrial Engineering of the University of Texas – Arlington, USA. He is also a Visiting Professor at Unirazak, Malaysia; UCSI, Malaysia; PUP, Philippines; Beijing Wuzi University, China; and Universitas Ciputra, Indonesia. He is involved in Ph.D. supervision locally and internationally. He supervises eight (8) Ph.D. scholars locally and globally, and thirteen (13) Ph.D. scholars have been awarded. He has over 23 years of experience in teaching, training, workshops, consultancy, and research. His profile featured in BRITISHPEDIA as “Successful People in Malaysia and Singapore” by British Publication House, UK. Prof. Habib has published about 250 research publications, including conference proceedings, journal articles, and book chapters/books. Among them, more than 80 articles are Web of Science and Scopus-indexed. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief/Editorial Board Member of various journals. He delivers Keynote speeches at 100+ international conferences in various countries. He conducted over 250 webinars and workshops locally and internationally. He accomplished his Ph.D. and M.S. with outstanding performance in Computer & Engineering Management (CEM) from Assumption University, Thailand. His core research areas are supply chain management, operations management, and research methodology. Prof. Habib is an active member of various professional organizations, including IEEE (Senior Member); IEOM, USA; Chartered Fellow (FCILT), and CILT International (UK), VCARE Academy, Canada; AICRO, Australia, among others. He is involved in Business School Accreditation, particularly as an AACSB Virtual Ambassador & ACBSP Evaluator, as well as the Principal Contact Person of AACSB & ACBSP at IUB. Additionally, he is involved in QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education Rankings as an academic. He is also connected with the industry as a Consultant at AmCham (American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh), USAID, BAFFA, and so on.

Biography

Dr. Ahmed Sayem is a Professor of Industrial Management in the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh, where he has served as a faculty member since March 2004. Dr. Sayem holds a PhD in Industrial Management, completed with an "excellent" grade, earned under the "European Doctorate in Industrial Management (EDIM)" program at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain. As part of this doctoral program, he also studied at KTH – Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. He additionally holds a Master of Science in Management, Economics, and Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy. Dr. Ahmed Sayem has worked on management in international manufacturing and the phenomenon of reshoring. In doing so, he has collaborated with numerous multinational companies headquartered in Sweden and Spain. His current lines of inquiry concern the sustainability issues in supply chain management and the coordination structures of international manufacturing networks. His broader publication record spans topics including reshoring and manufacturing network capabilities, coordination in international manufacturing, Industry 4.0 adoption barriers, workplace productivity, and occupational health and safety in industrial settings — reflecting a body of work that bridges strategic manufacturing management with applied engineering research. Furthermore, Dr. Sayem is engaged in research on the Circular Economy, Productivity Management, and Market Dynamics. Beyond his academic role, Dr. Sayem has contributed to industrialization initiatives for the Sylhet region through his involvement with the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
